Hi ladies

Just wanted to pick your brains a bit. My BFF got her BFP last week and we're both over the moon - she actually just happened to do a test, just to see and was shocked to see a Pregnant 1-2 on the stick! She was 3 days before AF was due.

She said at the time she just felt a bit different and 'felt' like she was pregnant. I spoke to her yesterday and she said she just feels a bit weak and tired. She had some spotting on Friday (only on the toilet paper) and it was brown and she said she has had some AF style cramps.

She just called me now to say she feels so much better, lots more energy and she's worrying now that her symptoms have disappeared. I have tried to reassure her that it is all perfectly normal, but I just want to check that it is?! She is only just 4 weeks yesterday, I found out at 6-7 weeks. I had no cramps, no spotting, no 'feelings' - just sore boobs. She hasn't had any pain in her boobs at all. I know that all ladies are different and everyone experiences with pregnancy are completely different. But I can't remember the beginning of being pregnant and I don't remember how I felt.

Am I right to reassure her or should I be worried for her? Obviously if its not meant to be then its not meant to be but I don't want my friend worrying if she doesn't need to be.

Tricky to say, would be worth perhaps either waiting a week to do another pg test or go to the doctor to check hcg levels. Best of luck to her : ) xxx

i had spotting and cramping,, and now i am 26 weeks,,
if the spotting does not get heavier and the cramps are not really bad then she should be ok,,
i had pink bright red and brown, but it was very light,
hope everything is ok,, :)

Could just be implantation bleeding? I had bleeding and cramping at 5 weeks and got referred to epu for feared ectopic. Worth mentioning to her doctor x

I had both cramps and spotting, I'm sure she'll be fine :D

I actually remember complaining when I was a few weeks pregnant that I had no symptoms and did loads of tests cos I couldnt believe I was, and then I got to about 7weeks and morning sickness hit me like a ton of bricks, sore boobs and tiredness. My sister spotted and now has a healthy 3yr old so aslong as its brown and not red im sure its ok. xxx

I had about 10 days of af like symptoms and spotting just before and after I got my BFP. My midwife said it was normal. It cleared up about 6 weeks and didn't return.

I agree with the implantation bleeding. I didn't get it but i remember having few cramps when my first periods were due so at 4 weeks pregnant and it didn't last very long. I didn't get lots of symptoms during my first trimester (i wasn't even tired and morning sickness started on the second) so i am sure she ll be fine.

I found out at 4 weeks and had mild cramps up until 6 weeks, just like AF was due, but no spotting. I didn't really feel pregnant at all. My boobies were also tender, but everything stepped up a gear at 6 weeks when the MS started and sore boobs became unbearable. Tiredness only kicked in around week 6 too.

I hope everything is OK.

I had cramps. Was my only pregnancy sign at that stage as I never get cramps before during my period. I remember sitting on sofa thinking - what's going on here then!
They were that noticeable. Was only on one occasion then gone.

i had implantation cramps around 4-5 weeks and really painful boobs but other than that i didnt feel or believe i was pregnant until my 12 week scan.

Implantation spotting is quite common around 4-5 weeks too
xxxxx
