I begged OH to get me a coffee from the coffee shop today but by the time he got back it was 6 pm and I'm a slow coffee drinker (finished by 8?). Now it's past midnight and I can't stop moving my legs and scrunching my toes and stretching my hands! I had this before pregnancy but I haven't had it in awhile and I'm wondering if pregnancy makes it worse... Ugh I'm going nuts right now! Anybody else get restless legs in first trimester? I'm never drinking evening coffee again

Are you supplementing magnesium? It is said to help ease the restless legs syndrome. Natural Calm is what I've used in the past.

I haven't tried that I will look into it thank you! I need to get my iron levels checked as well, a specialist once told me that iron deficiency may be causing it. It's such a horrible feeling, the feeling sort of translates to the feeling you get with a mosquito bite. You itch and it feels good but when you stop it's horrible! And the more you itch the worse it gets... It's calmed down now but I am wiiiiide awake

I remember that in my first pregnancy, drove me mad, I think it went away on its own though xx

Thank you Michelle! I wasn't sure if it was something that comes up later in pregnancy and this is just me having RLS ... If that's the case then I'm sure it will get much worse later! But it seems like I haven't had it for awhile but since I've gotten preggers it's kicked in again

I get it in the middle of the night. Sometimes it wakes me up because of the discomfort, it was suggested to me to move around a bit before bet instead of just lounging on the couch

Oh my gosh!
I thought I was going crazy when I felt the RLS ! Glad to know i'm not the only one, It drives me nutts because it only happens when i'm trying to get to bed of course!

I had it all the way through my first pregnancy, it used to drive me mad! Between that, peeing a thousand times a night and baby kicking me all night I never got any sleep lol.

Magnesium is really good supplement, it calms restless muscles. Getting your iron checked is smart too. I can't do caffeinated coffee anymore, gives me heart palpitations and jitters:loopy:

I got it in first pregnancy, i mentioned it to my mum who had it when she was pregnant and they told her to have more salt. I dont gave much salt, as soon as i added some to diet in small amount it got better

Ahhh I have had this problem the last two nights. It's beyond uncomfortable and it feel like I have to stretch all the time at night

It's so uncomfortable!!! I feel for you girls. Did any of you have RLS before pregnancy too? I did but I havent seen it around in awhile. I was on Mirapex for awhile before my last pregnancy and stopped when I fell pregnant last time. Then after my MMC I tried to start again but I didnt like the way it made me feel so I havent been taking it (before I fell pregnant this time). I've had it pretty bad today too! I'm glad it doesnt wake me up at night but it definitely prevents me from getting to sleep. x_X

With both my girls I had RLS, it was MISERABLE! I'm just waiting for it to start up again... hopefully it'll skip this time lol. But glad I read about the magnesium, I'll have to give that a try :)

I had rls before pregnancy off and on, but I suffer from bouts of insomnia so I always figured that either caused it or was caused by it...but now all I know is it wakes me up and its so uncomfortable. I took a prenatal vitamin and went back to bed, that seemed to help

Good to know about the prenatal Miranda! RLS is such a horrid feeling.
