return of normal cycle after coming off bcp

I'd been on microgynon for nearly 8 years, first AF nearly took me by surprise this morning because I forgot that I have minimal symptoms naturally! I understand why you may not remember! When I started the pill I smoked and did no exercise so now I'm fitter and healthy I've gone back to my teenage cycles. I ovulated on cd17 and have just finished a 30 day cycle which is around what they were before bcp, I think I must be one of the lucky ones though!
