Rhyming names

I really like the name Owen but it's a half rhyme with our two syllable surname (Owen -man). I can't decide whether or not it sounds cute or just completely stupid!

How do you feel about rhyming names?

I think it'll sound great unless your surname is Owenman

I would never have thought that Owen rhymes with "man"...even slightly... So I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I think it really depends on the amount of syllables, their emphasis and therefore how sing-songy it is. We couldn't chose a name like Harrison with our -son surname and equally I've just realised that Imogen (OH's girls pick) has the same problem. As long as it isn't actually a rhyming name ala Zowie Bowie, I think you're alright if you're happy with the way it flows.
