i have been advised by Molly's consultant to start weaning soon, as she cant fit enough milk in cos she's tiny. She still wakes every 4 hours through the night for bottles. I know most people start with baby rice at breakfast or lunch time, but Im thinking about doing it with her 6pm bottle, as this is when she is most alert and takes most milk. Im also hoping that it might help her sleep through (wishful thinking maybe!) Is this what you would do?

i am going to wean at 17 weeks too as amelia has stopped sleeping so well at night time.

I was going to give her a bottle around 4ish, then some very runny baby porridge mixed with her milk so it tastes a little familiar just before her bath, say about 6ish. Then another bottle about 7- 8 when she goes up to bed.

What do you think? Sound ok?

I hope it helps - she used to sleep an 8 hour stretch from her betime bottle but that's all gone a bit downhill recently!
