hi,

i'm pretty sure i'm being silly - little one is happy/alert and very content.

but - last week we moved up to 5oz bottles because she was polishing off 4oz's at nearly every feed and sometimes having more, but since thursday she's barely taking 3oz at each feed, sometimes just 2oz and still going 3 hours between feeds.

is it normal for babies to eat less for a few days just like we do? i've counted the ounces each day and it adds up to about 20oz, she's 8 weeks old - does that seem enough?

obviously, i can't force feed her!!!!

she sleeps from 10.30pm at night till about 5am when she'll take an ounze and go back down till about 8am.

Hi hun. 20 oz at 8 weeks is fine. They go through phases when they want to feed less & sometimes more. At 8 weeks Omar's average was 16-18 oz. His Maximum was 24 oz at 4 months. He's a big baby & it never affected his growth or development. As long as she's maintaining her weight gain, there is nothing to worry about hun xx

ETA: It might be the teat size. Maybe she's ready to go for the next size xx
