rights to getting a referral for possible silent reflux

We think our LO has silent reflux after endless amounts of reasearch - our own research......we have been to our GP 3 times since our daughter has been born - seen different doc to be told ' colic ' like I say we are convinced its silent reflux as she is displaying a lot of the symptoms - we have a 4th app next wed for the nice doctor - how do we go about getting referred ? just be adament ? I dont think we are being taken seriously

sorry they are doing this to you. The same thing has happened to me since LO was born and suffered from constipation. I still haven't had any answers or prescriptions and it took me nearly 8 weeks to get a specialist appointment and they didn't even help!! Hope they listen to you, just be firm with them! Tell them you KNOW something isn't right and you WANT to be reffered for silent reflux! Good Luck x

Its a shame you didnt get any answers, is it better now ? Are you BB or FF ?
How often is Lo going for poo's ?

I think I will just be more adament.....and see how I get on
I just want to speak to an expert as opposed to a doctor who says all kinds of things and one even said ' um I dont know much about silent reflux.....' it wasnt until after we thought ' exactly ' ! Its just annoying because they just think ' babies cry' and its normal which yes may be the case but then again it may not be.

I'm so sorry. I was never ever referred for our projectile reflux baby until
now. Her first appointment is next month. She is 2 2 years of pain and mess. even yesterday she threw up on the bus over her clothes and buggy.

It angers me how docs won't treat reflux seriously

I know its so annoying...

For anyone out there is the same boat, you just need to be persistant.
We finally got referred today. The doc although is under the impression that everything summer is going through is totally normal and he said he will refer us for peace of mind.
So now I feel heaps better - like Im actually doing something for her and if it turns out that it isnt anything then GREAT!
