Just a general question. Sorry if it's obvious.

So when you'd sterilise baby's bottles etc, and say you'd sterilise in Milton solution. Is there any need to after sterilising, and before using baby's bottles etc, to rinse the bottles with boiled water?

No I never do, I don't think it's necessary.

ETA - I don't use Milton, I find it smells too much like a swimming pool :haha: I use the Boots sterilising tablets and they are brilliant and I believe quite a bit cheaper than Milton.

No need Milton is food safe.
I turn mine upside down on kitchen paper to drain out mostof it.
But I mainly use steam sterilizer anyway .

I used to just give it a good shake and sometimes I'd swirl a bit of boiled water inside the bottle just to remove the nasty taste of it. It's fine to leave there as it's technically safe to eat (in small amounts). I found it just was too gross after awhile and it made the skin on my hands peel off. We switched to a steam steriliser, which was much nicer, until we stopped sterilising altogether.

I use a steam steriliser but I have to say I rinse both the inside of the teat and the just boiled water from the kettle before I make the bottle up:) xx

No need.
Like a pp said I found milton smells so strong though so I can understand your urge to rinse.

Most of the packets will say "no need to rinse", I know that's the case with Milton.

From what I recal only Milton says no need to rinse, most shops own brand need to be rinsed off.
