Rock N Play has MOLD!?

I am ashamed to say this, but this is the first time I've gotten around to washing the cover on my Rock' N Play since baby #2 has arrived (she's 12 weeks). I noticed a patch of mold about 5 inches in diameter! I googled it immediately and apparently there was a recall a couple years back because of this! I got it from my cousin so it's the older one. My baby sleeps in her crib mostly, but she does occasionally nap in it. Probably has spent a couple hours a day in it for the last couple months. I am mortified - do you think this exposure will cause some sort of long term damage? I threw that piece of junk in garbage - please check yours!

I'm totally sure it won't cause any long term damage at all. If you think about it, there must be hundreds of thousands of babies in the world who are born into damp or dirty conditions and are just fine. You have got rid of it now so no further exposure will happen.

Thanks. My parents think I'm overreacting - they said we had mold in our basement for years before they uncovered it during a remodel and us kids played down there constantly. Hopefully I am just overreacting!!
