Is this just a phase or am I gonna be chasing his poopy little bum round the bedroom every day til he's toilet trained??

i'm hoping it's a phase but i think that's wishful thinking! :haha:

My LO still attempts to get away but he has got better at keeping still for at least a little while so I have to be VERY quick, if not it's a right battle! Dressing him on the other hand is always a nightmare, as he gets older he gets more and more of a wriggle monster!

Sorry!!

I am still chasing my LO. I wish it were just a phase. If it is, it's been a 4 month long one. :haha:

I give him a rubber ducky to play with while I change him otherwise he's all over the place.

lol same here, its a nightmare, within 10 seconds hes on his front. I was on the floor the other morning, and saw the funny side, It'd taken me about 6 mins and I was no-where near getting it on. Ended up laughing and letting him crawl away naked lol.

Have developed a skill of putting it on him while he's in crawling position! took a bit of practise but dont have to pin him down now!

hahhahahahhaa Fynn is like this but not quite crawling away - takes me about three times as long to sort him than it does Sam. My trick is giving my unsuspecting oh Fynn to dress at weekends while I do 'easy' Sam mwhahahahahaha

Anna does this - I find if I talk to her looking into her eyes then she will sit still and let me get on with it - which is good as the other day she rolled over off the mat onto my cream carpet with poo up her back!:flower:

Emma still does this but not as bad as she used to. So it's a phase that has gotten a bit better over time for us. :D

While it doesn't make the nappy changing any easier (or cleaner!) it's good to know we're not alone! What age can you start using pull up nappies? Reckon they'd be easier to get on in crawling position.

Oh thank God i'm not alone!!! I hate nappy changes :(. Used to be one of our favourites times cus i'd sing to him and he'd giggle and smile at me... but now, nappy off.. Jacob's gone. He's SO damn strong too I can't keep him still!!! Nightmare lol

Its pretty much the way it goes untill potty trained now, and then its chasing them around to get the potty off their head :) (both used and unused)

Brian fliped himself over yesterday and where I already had the sudacream on my hands and wrestling with him he ended up with it all over his legs, arms in his ear across his forhead.
I had to laugh at the cheeky monkey :)
toys and distractions dont work for us, he just takes the toy and tried legging it with it :)

its not fun is it lol a baby covered in poo trying to get away and you only have one hand as the other is holding their feet, more often than not that hand gets covered in poo too!!

now i give him things hes not allowed usually like the remote or my mobile and change him at the speed of light haha x

Ohh this is sooooo annoying! I give her a toy to keep her entertained while i'm changing her otherwise she's all over the place! Lol.

I think were stuck ladies until their are potty trained :S distraction helps a bit though, or better still 2 people lol!

i usually let him have the wipes and he plays with the packet which gives a bit of time to get the worse off lol!

It's 2 or 3 ppl job! I cant change his poo alone. I tried distraction, giving him toys, etc. but nothing works. I guess this phase will last until he's finally potty trained. All dressing & undressing is a major task. He stands up when I dress him, & it's not fun to put on nappy when he's standing.

We have the same problem with Ellie and I am so glad that were not alone :dohh: If she is in a cheeky mood it is just a nightmare and no toys will stop her from crawling off, I am in the middle of trying different things to keep her bum pinned down to the floor through change time. Its worse when she has her bath before bed time, getting her dry, nappy on and pj's she trys to take off all the way through :nope:

Anyone any good tips??? :haha:

Sometimes, I can keep Liam busy playing with a cat toy ball with a bell inside. If not I give him a wipe to suck on...If that fails evil mummy pins his shoulders down with my feet so he can't roll.
OH hasn't changed a pooey nappy alone for a while...and I manage it with False nails at 4am in the morning!!
