When did you get your babies into a routine - Mine is six weeks and we were doing quite will but over the last week its gone to pot she wants to feed every 1-2 hours when it was 3 during the day and 4 at night and we dont get to sleep unitll 4 - 5 am at night - she just wont sleep in her moses basket will only sleep when I am holding her !!!

Maybe she's having a growth spurt if its gone to pot a bit???

x

ps - your ticker really threw me!!

yep could be a growth spurt, try to ride it out for a few days and see if it gets better

I had the not going to sleep until 5am thing for ages and it really took its toll on us but its starting to stop now (about the same age??) Last night he went to sleep at 11pm woke at 3am and 6am and then 11am! Woo I actually got some sleep!

Some babies won't go into a routine - mine is one of them! The only routine she has is bedtime and waketime. She goes to bed at 7pm and gets up between 7 and 9am. During the day it is madness in our house - between some bottles she goes 4 hours, between others she goes 1. Lol

I am exactly the same!! He has no routine at all. Just feeds roughly every three hours. So something like bed at 8-9 then wake at 11-12 and again between 2-3 and again between 5-6 and again between 8-9. There is absolutely no sign of him sleeping any longer yet at all. Very frustrating but we just have to ride it out I suppose!

xx

I might be told otherwise here but I have been told that it is nigh-on impossible to get a very young baby into a routine. The just have to go with what they want in terms of feeding and sleeping for the first two months or so. They should fall into some sort of a pattern. x

I mentioned to my health visitor about starting a routine for Ellie who is now 9 weeks and she said id be doing it for my sake rather than Ellies cus babies that are under about 16 weeks wont understand it at all. Im still going to start one so she grows up with it and gets used to it. I find it quite stressful though cus she doesnt let me put her down so im losing all my evening feeding her and rocking her to sleep!
