Hi my little boy is almost 6 months and his bottom teeth are coming through. He has woken up this morning with a really runny nose and is all bunged up. Could this be due to his teeth? He has only just got over a nasty cold/cough so i hope he hasnt caught another one. Thanks in advance x

Yeah both my LOs got runny noses as teeth were cutting. I've noticed with DD2 her nose is more runny with top teeth than bottom ones. Hope your LO is ok xx

Edit to add: i've noticed it doesnt cause them to become congested as such. No coughing/sneezing etc, just a runny nose. They can both still breathe fine x

Thank you for your reply. I cant remember what my older two were like when they cut their teeth. He is so snotty bless him. X

Yup!! Teething messes up with their immune system, so having the sniffles is quite common when they are teething, especially the first teeth, for some reason. Both my DDs looked so pitiful, with all the drooling and snotty nose:haha:

my mum told me when me and my sissy used to teeth the first sign is a sore bum, then runny/blocked nose then a cough and mainly always a fever.
when M cut his first teeth he was soo ill, he was hot, sweaty, slept almost all day, he had a really high temp, coughing snotty etc. it was horrible, as soon as his tooth cut he was fine, every tooth since that hes gotten a sniffly nose, and a sore bum but nothing major.
