Hi

Hubby had chemo for brain tumour at 14..Obviously we know that can cause sterility.. but not everybody remains that way..

I had a basic SA test done on hubby and the glaring problem is 2% morph when it should be 4% .

Thats all the GP said..she said volume and motility was fine and didn't point out any other issues...or anything that seemed very wrong....

She never sat there and said Hey you'r e in infertile.2% morph isn't great but
my question of is he infertile has not be answered..

We hav eto pay $400.00 extra to get defrag test done and suitability for ART..

Obviously all this before we even progress forward...

has anybody had any experience with this anybody they know who had cancer young(14 ish) and went on to father children unassisted etc?

i still feel in the dark...My FS didn't say much about it either very vague...I just don't know what to think.

I don't know anything about the effects of chemo on sperm later in life but I would definitely take it as a positive if his count and motility are still ok :) there are so many really good threads on here about couples who have conceived naturally with low morphology, you search morphology in the LTTTC section you'll find some and I think they'll give you loads of hope :hugs:

Thanksyou!!! Love your avatar I'm a bit cat lover:)

aw thank you! :D I was in a TTC thread and loads of girls coincidentally got their BFP when they changed their avatar to a picture of their cat  so I tried it but unfortunately it didn't work for me hehe :laugh2:

did you have a search for threads? I don't know if my OH has low morph, they didn't mention it to us so I guess there wasn't anything to worry about there (im scared to ask tbh :haha:) but he has low count and motility and I love love love reading all the sperm success stories and I've definitely seen loads about success with low morphology! :happydance:
