SA results are in...

Well hubbies SA results came in this morning. All the doctor would tell us is that they are normal. I don't know any of the actual numbers etc just that they are "normal".

I knew it was me who wasn't working but by having it confirmed kinda mad me feel really down today. I don't ovulate regularly, and due to a high bmi I am seriously unlikely to get help. Hubby and I are seriously starting to consider going private to get help. WE have decided to wait until Jan 2012 as that way we will have been TTC longer than 2 years.

things is... if we go private will my weight still be an issue or do they help no matter what your weight seeing as your paying for it??

I really don't know how is it in Scotland, but here my private ex-doctor wouldn't let me try Clomid, before we do HSG and SA, although there's no reason to believe anything at all could be wrong with us except for my PCOS. She said it was "unethical". Unethical, my ass! Anyway, she didn't seem to mind the fact that I'm overweight I think it really depends on a doctor.

I have had most tests done, but not had the hsg. I don't mind having more tests etc, just would be pointless to pay privately for all these things if at the end they would still refuse to help me if that makes sense. The NHS is happy to test away, and to be fair I haven't seen the FS yet, but with a VERY high BMI I would put money on the fact they will refuse to help me weather a problem was found or not. Thought if we went private we are more likely to be given help to conceive?
