How long between seeing it in the sky and it hitting would there be??xx

there would be anuff time to see it and move out of the way .. bearing in mind you would have to walk around looking up all day... it most likely wont drop straight down either i think it will be skimming along ... i think its funny how they keep saying you are more likely of winning the lottery etc .. but the BIG difference here is I WANT to win the lottery i DON'T want to be hit by this ! haha i wouldn't worry tho, this one is small fry compared to THE HUGE German one that will hit in november, the biggest piece on this one is only expected to be about 300 pounds (which is still considerable, bearing in mind the size) but the German one they expect the Lens to make it through the atmosphere... Good times :/ hhaha x

also people win the lottery all the time lmao .... so yeah chances are slim.. but no where near as big a wash over as they claim, they just don't want a big thing made out of it

Edit: the German one is a telescope btw :) not a satellite x

mostly i would be worried about getting too close to it when it falls, they keep repeating they don't want people to get within X amount of distance, to stand back and to not approach,, no 1 they don't want a law suit and no 2 its probly radioactive lmao :p

Ooooh! I forgot about this! I'll be watching updates for this throughout the day.

As of 9:30 p.m. EDT Sept. 22, 2011, the orbit of UARS was 110 mi by 115 mi (175 km by 185 km). Re-entry is possible sometime during the afternoon or early evening of Sept. 23, Eastern Daylight Time. The satellite will not be passing over North America during that time period. It is still too early to predict the time and location of re-entry with any more certainty, but predictions will become more refined in the next 24 hours.

So North America is safe?xx

I think its bull crap they cannot pin point the location, they just don't want too say, they want to be first on the scene...

haha,i read recently it will be Italy.. dno how much truth there is tho that mind x

"Nasa has said the odds of a piece of the Uars debris striking a person is about one in 3,200."

this is quite worrying!!

the kid's trampoline is still out there and it cost 80 quid!

Space junk falling out of the sky and possibly injuring people, great! One more thing to worry about!!

Technically "space junk" falls to earth every day :p x

haha no doubt :/ I read somehting recently that NASA has been ordered to clean up space of all their random junk. So humans are not only polluting earth but space aswell

I suppose it doesn't matter how small the piece, at the rate it will be travelling it could probably kill you if it was no bigger than a penny, if you were unfortunate enough to be hit! I've been out twice today and I'm still alive though :)
