saw my babys heart beat today .....

i'm 6w 3d today & i was sent for an early scan as i had some bleeding.

i lay down on the bed & my husband held my hand as i couldn't look, i was shaking. the sonographer was lovely, i told her my past in about 5 mins (mc, breast cancer) and she said she would take alook and need 2 mins but would tell me what she saw asap.

then she said straight away look i can see a hb beating away..... i looked & both my husband & i burst into tears.....

just got to keep fingers crossed that all good for nxt 6 weeks....

question ! for those that have seen a hb, was it clear & did it look fast, its just i didn't think it seemed as fast as my last baby's did. am i just being paranoid........

I think the speed of the heart beat must have been perfect otherwise the MW would have said something....

That's wonderful, sweetheart.

As Steph182 said, if there was anything to be worried about, the MW would have said something. No two heartbeats are the same -- between 80 and 150 is normal, I do believe, and if it's on the lower side, that isn't necessarily a bad thing because you've gotten checked quite early.

I was 6w exactly when I saw the hb. It was sooo tiny, it just looked like static. The u/s tech had a hard time measuring, because baby was so little, but the bpm was 117, so that was great.

It def was not clear to me, I have no idea what I'm looking at on those things, and if she had not pointed it out, I would not have known!

At 6 weeks the hb can be on the low side, nothing to worry about!

When I seen my babies hb at 6 weeks 4 days it didnt look fast to me either but the doctor told me it was around 160 bpm which is great and it looked clear only when she zoomed in. I hope that helps. Congrats!!!
