Scan at 39 weeks - water?

Hi

I'm having a scan today to check position - has anyone else had a scan this late before..? I was just wondering if I need to drink loads of water beforehand?

I'm having one tomorrow at 37wks they've told me to drink 2 glasses of water an hour before and hold - they must be joking right! I'll be drinking a glass of water 10mins before and I'll still be in agony then!

I have an ultrasound every app for my poly the front desk always tells me to drink tons of water but the ultrasound tech said just to drink like a glass if that
I never go to her with a very full bladder now.
