I've got my first ultrasound scan on the 17th December when I'll be 6 weeks + 4 days. What could I expect to see? This is my first so I'm not sure

I had a scan at 6 wk 1 day. I saw tiny little baby, yolk sac, and heartbeat! They do it vaginally, just to let ya know! Not everyone has seen the heartbeat at 6 wks so don't freak out if you don't, but most of the time the baby's heart starts beating at 6 wks, although the baby looks like a tiny blob at this stage! Enjoy all of the firsts with your first pregnancy.

hey, at 6 weeks 4 days you should defiatly see a sac and possibly a yoke sac, depends o the type of scan.

I'm prepared for it being internally because all of mine have been for yonks. I'm hoping there's a heartbeat but I realise it could be too early. Extended due date calculator suggests first heartbeat could be 14th December so fingers crossed :)

I had mine at 6+4 and saw and heard the heartbeat. My avatar is from that sonogram. I measured right on track at half a centimeter...very tiny blob!

I saw the little baby, and a heartbeat at 6+2! Mine was external so they won't necessarily have to do internal x

I really want to see a heartbeat so I'm hopeful. Then I'll buy scan pics for Xmas cards

XD You and I go on the same day for our first ultrasound! I'll be either 7 weeks 6 days or 6 weeks 6 days (hard to go with my weeks just for the fact that I don't ovulate until day 23 of my cycle but I do know I implanted really early (thinking around day 3 or 4 dpo) So hopefully it'll be all good for us!!

Awesome. I'm hoping I'll have another scan at around 9 weeks too rather than waiting all the way to 12 but they may not let me

My scan at 6+4 (my avatar) was found abdominaly. We saw the baby, yolk sac and a strong heartbeat x
