scared about 20 week scan.

I'm so scared of our 20 week scan i just want everything to be ok but lately i felt like theres going to be a problem i just feel it. with my first i just had this feeling nothing would be wrong and everything went well. my doctor is waiting for 22 weeks to do the scan because he is counting from implantation date not last period. i feel so nervous and worried i just want our baby to be healthy.

Try and relax I know easier said than done but you've made it past the scariest part of it all (first tri)! And make sure you keep us updated with your little one

I feel the same way. My next ultrasound won't be until 18-20 weeks, and the last one was at 12 weeks. It feels weird that I can't just go and check up on the baby at the tech office. It's hard going so long between scans, and not knowing if everything is going ok or not. Doctor's appointments don't really do justice, since they're just to check basics.
Try to think on the positive side, and I am sure everything will be ok

I was very worried as well and he's doing great in there! Happy and healthy. Which I'm sure will be the same for you! This whole pregnancy I was completely calm and wasn't worried at all until a few weeks before my 20 week scan. It'll be okay!

I'm with you. Really nervous about my 20 week scan and i have 3 weeks to wait yet. I was nervous with my dd though too, it's totally natural to worry. Try not to think about it too much though xx

I'm nervous too, my 20 week scan is in less than 2 weeks, and it couldn't come soon enough for me. I wasn't feeling nervous really, just thinking about gender, and now I don't care about gender and all I want to know is that my twins are okay. I keep reassuring myself by saying that my 12 week scan went well, but its hard when there is so much distance in time between scans. I hope your scan goes well, I'm sure it will XXXXX

I'm also really nervous, I have been with all 3 pregnancies. I think time drags between Bfp-20 weeks scan because there's so much doubt, worry and you're facing the unknown. I think that everything speeds up a bit more afterwards.
All that you can do is keep positive, try not to worry(so hard!) and I'm sure baby will be fine. I'm also trying to take that advice from myself

I have mine on Thursday . And although I feel my baby move all the time . ( very active ) . I still worry . I think after 20 week scan will be harder tho as no more scans till she is born .

I had major anxiety over mine this time as it's been a high risk pregnancy. Was less worried with previous 20 week scans.

Can you get a private scan whilst your waiting? I found the private scans I've had kept me sane.

thank you everyone yes i had a small scan done at my cheek ups but not a huge scan just to cheek for heart and no obvious abnormal signs. i have another cheek up ont he 9 where my doctor does another ultrasound he does one every appointment. then the big ultrasound isn't till the 20th june. I know that these ultrasounds are just to reassure me but they don't help much when hes not really looking for any organ or internal problems i have to wait months in between to really get the news i want. I ope we all get good news in the next few weeks at our scans. lately i just saw so many people with problems at their 20 week scan showing up its putting me on edge.

I've got mine on Monday and I feel the same. I'm nervous and just hope everything's ok. Im sure it will be, the chances of having problems are pretty slim. Fingers crossed for us all

I had a scan at 15 weeks too, super quick, quick look for heartbeat, didn't even measure them let alone look for any possible problems, it gives little reassurance doesn't it? It was a crap machine and babies were very hard to make out! My doppler assures me that there are heartbeats in there, and my bulging belly that they must be growing. I hold on to things like that to keep sane! I would love just to concern myself with things like being pink or blue (or both in my case), but I just want to know my babes are okay XXX

hi i have another cheek up on monday two weeks before the big one. can't wait to get to 22 weeks and finally get my scan!! good news is i can feel him moving and next week hes gonna confirm the sex yay but he is sure its a boy he showed us the little pipi and bulge. lol
