scared about posting baby pictures?

I know this kind of thread has been posted before, but just wondered how many of you will be posting pics of your baby once he/she is born?

OH and I have decided we will not be posting any pictures of Jake on facebook... kinda torn about this one because some of his family who we don't see often are on it and won't be able to see him. I figured if they are that bothered they'll come and visit though. I have friends who aren't close friends on facebook, like people I know from uni or from school who I don't really keep in close contact with and don't want them nebbing on my little one. Already had people slagging me off for being pregnant on there....

As for here, how many people will be posting pics on B&B? I will want to make a birth announcement when he's born but after the whole fakers incident I'm scared someone will steal pictures somehow. Think I'm overthinking it now

this is what's worrying me now I know it's a very small minority ruining things for the majority, but it does make me paranoid. of course i'll want to show off my LO to everyone, but I have to remember that it's a public forum as well, so I might just put one on my avatar x

yeah, even if someone were to try & enlarge it the quality would be terrible, but it still means that all the genuine people on the forum get to see our LO's xx

On facebook yes definetlly because i only have friends family and people i know on there and i have everything on private.

On facebook theres an option as to who can see each of your albums, thats what i've done as theres some family i don't get on with so i've just done it so they can't see certain pics but others who i've allowed can, so there still protected + i've told those who can see the pics not 2 put them up on there facebook so i still have full control of who sees them n when.

As for bnb not sure yet i might just do what sophiie sugggested, but im guna wait n see what happens with everything that just gone on n decide then

My OH didn't agree with me uploading photos of Laila onto Facebook so I haven't, only a couple with me as a d/p but I haven't put albums.
On here I've put them as my avatar but thats it.

I didnt plan on posting any pics of my LO beofre she was born but then when i did my birth announcement i did post two i wanted to show her to everyone but i kinda regret it now because someone you would never image being fake are turning out to be so you just never know x

On another forum (a pet forum), not long after my first mc one of the members said she was pregnant with twins and was moving to Australia. We all fell for it and when the twins were born early we all rallied round and gave her support. When the twins were out of hospital she posted a few pics and then later took them down because she, like you girls was worried about someone stealing them.

It turns out she made up the whole thing. She was never pregnant, never moved to Australia and only had the one dog.

I was absolutely devastated. I honestly felt like I'd been kicked in stomach what with my mc (which everyone knew about) and then she went and did this. We were all extremely concerned for her 'children' and sent her lots of lovely messages.

I cannot believe that someone would do that.

I post pics of Liam everywhere, If someone is f'ed up enough to steal them and try to pretend he's their baby, then go ahead.
I knew a girl who used to push a doll around in a pram pretending she was babysitting. I just went along with it whilst laughing in my head!

I've got a few on FB, and a few on BnB. Only in the birth announcements section. I'll add more in time, but i don't see the rush and i am not keen on anyone and everyone seeing my baby.

It doesnt worry me, I will be posting pictures of my baby.

At the end of the day if someone is weird enough to steal them thats not my problem, Im not going to let it stop me sharing pictures of my little one! xx

I don't understand the mentality of why someone would do that, I guess a lot of the fakers have premmies because they can't be bothered to wait the entire duration...but that's awful, and takes our attention from the people who need the support.

People must be so odd and lonely to make up stories about being pregnant. I think I will continue to take everyone at face value - it's not fair on those who really need help and support.

I will post pics of my LO on here I love seeing everyone else's beautiful babies. If I had a camera/scanner now then I'd have my ultrasounds up too.

As for facebook, I might do a private album etc, not sure. I haven't annouced my pregnancy but I don't think I'd mind any of my facebook friends having a look - even the ones I know very loosely.

Hmm im ussually pretty good at seeing right through the "fakes" on here they always seem to have very profesional baby photos and never any of themselves and its never simple they always have twins triplets pregnancy problems or some kind of fantasy life . . . its a joke and there a joke.

Theres some very very sick people in the world but we should just treat them as if there nothing totally ignore it and them and focus on those we know are for real!
