I have been sick the last couple of days. I went to the doctor today and I have bronchitis and he put me on antibiotic and sudafed.

I've worked so hard to be natural and eat clean during this pregnancy and now I have to take meds! :(

Can someone make me feel better. I know I'm being ridiculous and moms get sick all the time during pregnancy but please tell me that you have been though this and baby is fine.

Sorry probably pregnancy hormones and paranoia but I need some reassurance!

I got upset when I had to take a benadryl before the blood transfusion I had about 2 weeks ago so I know how you feel. Staying sick is more stress on your body and baby than taking safe medications. I'm sorry you're upset but I can definitely relate to feeling that way because before the transfusion I hadn't even taken a tylenol. Please try not to worry and know that staying sick is worse for you and baby.

Thank you. I know your right but it just seems like all this hard work for nothing.

So sorry you had to go through the stress of a blood transfusion. Are you ok now?

I had to take antibiotics for an ear infection in the first tri. Baby was looking perfect at the 20 week scan. It'll be ok.

I felt the same way! I have been so careful and last week I got a UTI and had to go on antibiotics. I was so mad and upset about taking meds :hugs:

Thank you for asking :) I am doing much better now and my little one is doing great! Soooo very thankful for all of the advancements in medicine that can keep us doing ok!

How are you feeling today? I hope you are feeling at least a little less stressed out!

my sister took antibiotics twice and everythings fine!
i was really ill at the start before i even found out and i was taking alls orts, antibiotics ( 2 types) sudafed, lemsips, paracetemol co codamol and ipuprofen!
i worried alot but the doctors all said that its unfounded and its ok.

my baby boy is growing well (although he has a prob with his leg) this has nothing to do with it. hes putting on weight nicely and his brain/heartt/lungs everything all look great so dont worry x

I'm glad to hear that! I work in a hospital as a therapist and I say that the advancements in medicine amaze me everyday!

I'm still not feeling great. It has def knocked me on my butt. I've never had something last this long but I'm headed in the right direction. But thanks to you all my stress is lower!

How are you feeling hon? Better yet? Just thinking of you and wanted to check in!

finally starting to feel better! Thanks so much for asking. I have never had bronchitis and never want it again. How have you been?

I've been doing pretty well! Ah I am so glad you're better! I had bronchitis once as a teen and oh my! Its awful! Probably even worse when pregnant! So glad to hear you're better :)

I had bronchitis 3 times while I was pregnant last time...and when that started to get better, I got the stomach flu 3 times. It would rotate back and forth..first bronchitis then stomach flu, then bronchitis, then stomach flu...and so on. It was NOT fun! I regret not taking anything for it because it could have done more harm then good by not taking anything to clear it up.

I'm glad you are feeling better :hugs:
