Scarlett Mia is finally here!! long birth story!

A bit late! as been very busy just managed to get on but Scarlett is finally here,

I was induced at 38 weeks due to kidney problems and SPD they started me off using petharies (pills that go behind your cervix) they give you two per day with six hours in between... nothing, not even one little contraction. after the ninth time I had to have gas & air because downstairs had become swollen from doctors putting their hands up there tmi. Their was four doctors who was saying c-section and another four that was saying no!! no way!! so they kept trying I had 13 petharies all in all.. and I wasn't even 1cm dilated. I had a horrible midwife who would be nasty because I never made the bed, because I had magazines on the side with a few pop bottles & food telling me i'm so untidy, you can't be like this when you have the baby because good mothers don't do that!! kept referring scarlett to he even though i kept telling her it's a girl. she was an arsehole - excuse my french. I ended up begging the doctor to do something as there was no tvs on the ward i was fed up with the pesaries, and he ended up shouting at me no way you are having a c-section!! you go home now we've tried it's failed. you come back at 42 weeks.. I told them i'm really struggling with severe SPD and my kidneys i can't handle it anymore please! he discharged me but managed to beg him enough to come back at 40+4d he even gave me a hug after shouting at me so, i came back more petharies - another 4 so thats 17 in total.. nothing. I kept waiting to go on labour ward to see if they could break my waters after hours of waiting I finally went into the room and i was 1cm dilated they broke my waters and I was put on the drip and epidural after 10 hours of labour my heart rate was going funny and so was scarletts i kept telling the midwife but she didnt look that bothered i kept saying this isn't right can i see the doctor? the doctor is busy. after 18 hours the night staff came on and she luckily spotted it right away looked at the machine and said i'm not happy about this.. done me a check (first check after waters being broke) and i was 2cm dilated i went from 1-2 in 18 hours. Scarlett was in distressed - they pretty much left me all day. then the epidural wore off and i was in agony i asked for more - the anesative is busy in theatre.. i was screaming, never felt pain like it before and still on the drip. then i saw two doctors at 12am to say i'll be going into theatre now! then after ten minutes came back it's been taken a lady (not pregnant) has an abcess.. so i waited no midwife nothing untill 02:45 i was wheeled down finally.. then they tried to do spinal block and all i could remember was collapsing on a midwife and theatre nurse.. machines bleeping like mad and then being held down by three blokes and put under general anesthetic. so, i didn't see her being born but the main thing she was out as she was in distress pretty much all day. she was born 03:04 am and born weighing 7lbs3oz my perfect baby girl. she was worth it.. sorry for the long birth story xxxxx

Aw she's absolutely gorgeous. So sorry to hear you had a tough time- which hospital did you have her? I'd make a serious complaint with regards to the midwives complacency about babies heart rate and the doc shouting at you. It's not your fault that your body didn't want to be forced into labour. I'm glad she's with you safe and sound tho hun xxx

Thank you she was worth it... Such a good baby, sleeps through out the night & content I'm soo lucky to have her.. it was at the Wrexham Maelor.. In North Wales. Very bad Hospital, they left me after a c-section no help I had to get up myself & demand an iron test as I was really dizzy. No help with the baby first night (legs couldn't move, really sore infected wound on a drip in my arm so was limited in moving my arm for changing her clothes & nappies) In the end I begged to go home after three days which luckily they let me
