After an anxiety ridden weekend where I was bleeding but unable to get a scan to confirm the status of the baby its been determined I have a 30mm x 47mm x 10mm SCH. A huge relief after considering alternate causes.

Anyway, as expected I'm on a lifting ban and required to get lots of rest. However, I have a busy 11 month old on the cusp of walking who theses to be picked up all day when we're inside and repeatedly crawls onto the street and needs rescuing when we're outside as we don't have a fenced yard.

Suggestions for getting through this? I already change her on the floor and I have friends who have offered to take her for playdates for a few hours meaning I can rest but I'll have to drive her to their houses. Can I lift her up to carry her to the car? What about grocery shopping if someone else loads them in my car and brings them in the house? Can I hang up laundry if I use a trolley for bringing my washing basket outside so I'm not lifting it? Is it OK to wear DD in an ergonomic baby carrier on my back or does that count as lifting? So many questions and I didn't see my regular Dr to ask her my questions.

I have two large schs and an active 2 year old. This week i have her spending 2 days at our frirnds house and my mom is coming for a couple days.

How much does your daughter weigh? I don't think you can really avoid picking up a little one that much. Maybe try renting baby videos, make an extra effort to lift with your knees. I think an ergo on your back is a good idea too.

We have a very similar story!

I also was diagnosed with a SCH about a week ago (12 weeks pregnant) after a horrible bleeding episode without an u/s to check on the baby. I have a 3 year old and an adventurous 14 month old. I also have had a lifting ban requested by my OB along with bed rest, no intercourse, or exercise. Picking up a little one is almost unavoidable lol. I have been very good though, only lifting him in and out of his crib. Other than that I've only swooped in to carry him when he hurt himself (it's that natural instinct). :)

Good luck, just try to remember, as little lifting as possible. :hugs:
