Hi everyone,

Im 37 in just over a week and found out this morning I am pregnant again. I was waiting for an appointment to have the implant fitted. Bit late now. I have a beautiful little girl already and she is 20 months but now Im worrying about pregnancy, my age, will I cope all over again. So, Ive joined this forum for some support and was pleased to see an over 35 section.
Nice to meet you all.

Hello Rachel!
Congratulations!
I'm in almost the same position, just turned 37 start of July. Have a 2.5 yr old son. Almost 9 weeks pregnant with no. 2. It's a very anxious time but the odds are in our favour! Was desperate for a sibling for our little boy so hope this one sticks around. I hadn't even thought about if I'll cope, I guess you just do don't you?
Wishing you a H&H 9 months

Thank you so much for your reply. I have actually thought today how will I manage (as I have 2 step children as well half the week) and I burst into tears whilst having dinner at the local pub with the kids. I feel very emotional today and a little lost in many feelings! I am sure we will be ok. :) H&H 9m to you x

You're not alone. I'm 36 and just found out today I'm expecting my second.

My first isn't even 11 months old yet.

eep! (but also yay!)

Goodness that isnt much of an age gap but it will be lovely for you as they can play together. :) Good luck.

I think its normal to worry about how you will cope, DD is 19 months and completely nuts and now I'm expecting number 2. I've worried a lot and had the odd 'what have I done' thought! DD was so difficult at the weekend I keep thinking how on earth am I going to cope with another one!

Oh and I'm 37, will be 38 when number 2 arrives!

Thanks Storm, I am still having eep moments and wonder what the hell Im doing (esp with 2 step children as well!) Im sure we will be ok.

I just turned 37 & am almost 30 weeks with second baby - my daughter is 4 years old.
This pregnancy has been difficult but NOT due to my age - I have an incompetent cervix which can happen at any age.

I know women who have had babies over 40 and who gave sailed through their pregnancies.

Try not to worry xxxxx

I am 37 and 9 weeks pregnant with no. 2. I'll be 38 a week before the due date. Our little boy is 22 months and full of energy. I worry also how I will cope as we have no family in the UK. I think I may pay a babysitter for a few hours a week to take our son to the park/play group so that I can just be with the new baby for a little bit. I'm thinking of waiting til my son is three before starting him on a few days a week at nursery and that might help ease things up.
Health wise so far I feel fine; I had a relatively fine pregnancy with my son and hope this one will be fine too.

Hi Rachel,
I am 38 and pregnant. This will be my second child, but our fourth together, we have 3 booys, 2 nine year olds and a 13 year old. I feel like I am starting over!
I have also been worried about my age, in fact, I have done nothing but worry since the day I found out. I am hoping that finding a group of women like this one in my age group will help me relax a bit and perhaps enjoy this pregnancy.
Nice to "meet" you!

Hello! Have you had any scans yet? Did it help put your mind at rest? My first scan is 12w 4d on 22Aug, very nervous but hoping all is well. I believe it to be...hope everyone else is doing well!

Hello guys. I'm 38 and pregnant with number 3. My oldest is 13 then Kitty is 2. This pregnancy is making me so tired. I know I'm going to be tired for like the next year or so, but I wanted this baby so much.

We'll get through it!

Yes, I had three scans around the 9/10 week mark, one for dating, two because of spotting. They helped to put my mind at ease somewhat, but not really.
Then I had the Sequential Screening Scan at 13 weeks, and that is what helped put my mind at ease. Everything looked great, all measurements wonderful. That was when I started to breathe!
Plus, I rented a doppler and listen to the baby's heartbeat every night, makes me happy!
I"m glad to have found some other mommies in my age group to talk with!!

Hello,

Iam 37 in November and on Monday found out iam pregnant again our little boy is 17 mths. I had pretty bad hyperemesis gravadarum (?sp ) the last time and iam now really concerned if its as bad as last time how iam going to cope and look after our toddler. Fingers crossed its not as bad

HoneyBlossom and KJM2...one of the reasons I sought a site where I could connect with other mommies in my age group is because of my pregnancy 10 years ago.
I happened on a forum then, we later named ourselves the Mommies Club. Those ladies, even though all over the USA, became like my lifeline! We helped each other through so much, and 10 years later continue to do so. I know at the time I needed a support group like that, and I know this time I need it again!
We are all in this together!
