I was just calculation the price to post on royal mail and it was saying special delivery with tracking costs 12 pounds :S But recorded 1st class is £2.37 but is only proof of del not tracked :S

Recorded delivery you can tell when it's been posted and received though, I'd have thought that was enough?

I'm not sure what method to send in the US...I got like a tracking number with priority mail I think....Not sure.... One method has 'varies' for delivery time, priority has like within a week...dunno if I want to save the extra dosh and risk it taking ages to get there, but it's a huge difference in price and the 'varies' delivery has arrived within a week from someone else...so.... Don't think it's worth the risk, but it should still arrive before Christmas!!! Blah! I'll ask DH he'll be more in the know I'm sure...

how much is it gunna cost to send then... and are we using the the method where you just get a sticky label on it the sender gets a number and u can see when its been signed for on the RM site? i hope so as i cant afford to the full method that garentees the deleivery... they over charge

RECORDED is a bit extra ontop of normal 1st class postage and gives you a tracking code that DOES tell you when its been delivered and would tell you if the tracking code is VOID (none existant). x

To confirm (as I know someone is still baffled lol) recorded does give you a code on receipt person has to sign and the code allows you to check when its been confirmed as signed for or if they attempted to deliver and left a card it will also tell you that delivery was attempted until its collected or re-delivered. It may not tell you every destination buts it confirms postage ... SPECIAL DELIVERY is not needed and is a totally different postal option (and more £££).
