I am seeking advice. I recently had to accept that I am 'struggling' as my 13 cycle of TTC failed. I have gone to my dr and was given some tests to do and told I would next be sent to RE that is scheduling for MARCH! Grrr Naturally no one wants to wait that long sooooo.... I am looking to your knowledge! Are there labs I should ask for? A trick to try? A question to ask? Anything?

I have regular cycles 27-30 days and O on CD 13 or 14 consistently. My luteal phase is 13-14 days. I use OPK and temp. I have been getting acupuncture for two cycles. I did my CD21 blood work and my Progesterone measured at 15.23. I will do CD3 blood work today and hubby is supposed to get SA done next week (we know he has swimmers because he did an at home test--but it didn't give any information about the quality of the swimmers).

What other information would help you help me?

Advice? (other than wait for the results of course....I know that one lol)

asking people who cant get BFPs how to get a BFP probably wont get you many answers because if we knew we would of done it

unfortunately the answer is you just have to wait and see

you can try:

pre-seed/conceive plus
soy

as for what to expect when transferred:

HSG
21 day bloods
STD check
cervical smear
ultrasound

are standard protocol

It was meant as advice to seek my BFP. Just seeking advice from those who have more knowledge than myself. Appologies

I would have DH go in for a detailed SA at a fertility clinic , home sperm count tests can be wrong and I would go ahead with the fertility testing ( HSG, cd 3 bloods, thyroid testing ect.)even if it means you have to wait for a appointment. there may be something thats keeping you from conceiving or it may be that there is nothing wrong and its just taking a while.

I think you are doing all you can right now, it seems like you are doing all the right things. You are getting the basic tests done and will be moving forward soon. I understand how frustrating it is, trust me My referral was 18 months. I almost died waiting for the call. I know it is frustrating however it is only a few months and you will be on a track with a Dr who will be able to assist you and figure out what is going on, either with you or your partner.

Try to relax during the holidays and stay busy if you can. I found accupuncture helped tremendously for my nerves and anxiety. If you can mix in some nightly or daily meditation or yoga I think this wait will be smooth.

Good luck on your journey.

Lisa-what does hsg ad thyroid look at?

thyroid looks at the thyroid... conditions like hasimotos can make you infertile (this wasn't offered to me despite having affected family members... its pretty noticeable if you do have it)

HSG checks your fallopian tubes are open, the inject saline or dye through your cervix and x-ray you as it spills out into your abdomen, some think its painful but mine wasn't but it does bleed like a period afterwards and you can bloat up

Thanks! I am thinking maybe I should ask my gyn about hsg and see about doing that before re....could be the puzzle piece....
