Semen Analysis please advice good or bad ?

Well i got a copy of my DH's SA and I am wondering if everything looks good ? My doc was cooncerned about morphology but everything I read says over 14% is good

I will tell you what I know


Volume is good you want it to be 2.0 or more
Viscosity being normal is great too thick its hard for it to liquefy and or let the sperm swim out of the fluid.
motility is good as well since this should be greater than 50%

The morphology is TOTALLY fine! my husband had 17% and they were estatic because they said 14% or higher doesnt happen alot

Thanks hun ! I called my doc today to let him know about the guidelines that the lab is going by are not the current ones he was out today but back on monday so hopefully he agrees with me

The WHO changed the guidelines a few years back, the new minimum is 4%, I suspect your DR is looking at the old values, I can't remember clearly now, but i think the average is only around 15% so it had to be revised as men with far lower morpholgy than what was classed as normal were fathering children, my DH has 1% morphology, we did IVF and most of our eggs fertilised on their own without the need for ICSI so to me thats proof morphology was not our issue, so to me it looks like your DH's is fine.
