Title says it all really. I'm finding motherhood so stressful at the moment. Part of it is Lily's age - she's getting more wilful and more active, taking less naps, needs more attention but mostly the fault is with me. I just feel so tired all the time and I'm finding it so hard to have the energy to deal with her. I keep snapping at her and getting annoyed at her, even though she's just doing normal toddler things.

I am getting time away from her - I work during the week and am slowly regaining a social life of sorts, but I really feel like I just need a proper break where I don't have to think or worry or get stressed.

Sorry girls, just really needed to vent.

i feel like that too-have my bad days and i'm just soooo tired

how often you away from her?

Thanks, hun. I work four days a week and for the past few weeks, have had at least one evening a week away from her as well, either meeting friends or going to bookclub or something.

And she goes to bed reasonably early at night, so it's not as if I'm up with her all evening either when I am here.

I don't know what's wrong with me, tbh. I can't seem to snap out of it.

mention it to your gp
it could be a sign of PND or it could be something as simple as you needing to eat abit more to keep your energy levels up
best off finding what you can do to help it before it gets worse and worse x
touch wood iv backed off my morning coffees
you get an energy burst but later on you pay for it feeling even more tired than you would normally :/

Might be worthwhile seeing your GP :hugs: I had PPD and it was awful xx

Thanks for the suggestion. I will consider it - I might give myself until Easter to see if things improve and if not, I'll make an appointment.

It's like I just need an attitude adjustment, or some way of putting the little things into perspective so I can actually enjoy her more. She cracks me up most of the time, but if I'm under the slightest amount of pressure, like if I'm running late or something, then I just get so stressed out.

Hugs for starters. and secondly, have you tryed taking mini breaks in the day when you have her? i try and take 2 minutes or so every every couple hours to just do something small away from my son to take abreak. sometimes its even just going to the bathroom alone. or turning on some music. I also have a journal of positive thoughts i go to sometimes and make myself write down good things, like things my son does that make me happy.
