Hi!

Been getting a server error when trying to comment on threads that I started, like my journals for about 3-4 days now. Its not letting me post and has happened prior after the new update but it resolved itself the same day.

I can still message other members and post on other threads just not my own.

Thanks in advance!

That happened to me recently on one of my journals. It happened a number of times with one post I was trying to make. I was able to write other posts on that same journal, just not the one I initially was trying to post when I ran into the error

Ahh thank you! How do I write another post? I try to refresh the page but the same text box keeps popping up with the comment I was previously trying to post

This happens to me when I use certain smileys. When I posted without them then it posts fine.
Thanks, Bev!!! So frustrating! I'll do a test and on my journal and see if I leave out the smileys and see if I still get a error

It worked! Thanks girly! ❤️

Oh yes it did turn out to be the smilies in my case too! Once I deleted them I was able to post again. I've used the same smilies many times since that error message happened too so I have no idea why it was causing an error though

This is what’s happening to my threads too. And PMs, it doesn’t seem to matter about smilies because I don’t think I used any

Since the last update something has gone very wrong with new threads.
If you change the title of an existing thread, the thread is no longer able to be read. If you post a brand new thread, it also can't open again. And pm's just give errors when you try to send them. It's a massive mess up but doesn't seem to have been resolved in any way, making new threads impossible, and one can't even post a thread in technical difficulties because the difficulty makes posting new threads impossible!

Thank you so much for your reply.
I can’t even find any of my existing threads, this is so frustrating. Is someone going to fix this at some point? I really liked it here with my fourth and fifth babies, it was such a good support and I can’t find anywhere quite the same

There is something wrong with the site and it makes me so sad. I’ve been on here for so long along with others, but I haven’t seen many people since the updates because of the thread issues I tried to update the title of my parenting thread and I can’t access it anymore. I had it for years and now I can’t look back on it. I’m not sure anyone is even running this part of the site or modernizing at all so it’s basically shutting itself down with each update like an old phone. There’s also no one to contact.

@Wobbles used to sort out all the technical issues, but I don't think tagging even works anymore (just trying it now in case). It really is sad, because without the ability to post new threads the site will definitely eventually die. And, as @Jules8 mentioned, even changing the title makes a thread no longer accessible (it happened to one of the threads another BnB friend of mine has as well), so even people that have existing threads will eventually start to have issues and be unable to fix them. It really is sad - many of us have built good solid friendships through this site over the 15+ years we've been using it, and for one update to cause so much trouble that it basically kills the site is really very sad indeed.
