I've been constipated for my entire pregnancy, so I almost always feel stopped up. Today, I'm having poop cramps that hurt so bad. It feels like I have the runs, but "the runs" haven't come out. I haven't eaten anything out of the usual today. Has anyone else had this?

I had this a few.weeks ago, I was literally just about to call an ambulance I was in sooooo much pain
I was constipated but had the runs another same time. Take some pain relief, if you have a hot water bottle put it on your.lower stomach with your knees up, should help a bit and have a warm bath. I feel.for you I really do its the worst pain. It will pass tho. Also try fybogel x

Thanks, I got some stuff out (solid oddly enough) and the pain seems to have subsided. It was scary at its worst!

I've had similar to this my whole pregnancy too, I get a really bad gas pain in my left side sometimes too
I think just relax drink some water and unfortunately ride it out
Hope you feel better soon, I feel your pain :hugs:

Same as me, I managed to get the solid put then after it was like the runs but I still had to push lol, it's very scary I actually thought I was misscarrying x

Yes I have this on a daily basis doesn't matter what I eat or how much I drink xx

I had this problem on and off until about 10 days a go. I'd be backed up for a good few days and have the bloating and gas pains that came with it, then eventually get really bad stomach cramps and end up with a day or two of cramps and diarrhoea. And repeat. The pain from trapped wind got so bad that I had a couple of days off work the week before Christmas and went to see my GP as it seemed much worse after milk so I wondered if I had lactose intolerance. She said it was more likely IBS and to avoid high fibre (gas producing foods) but I politely ignored that advice as I didn't feel that a low fibre diet would help with the constipation. I did, however, stop my multivitamins and switched to just a vitamin D supplement on her advice and also had blood tests to check for any signs of infection (all came back clear). I also increased fluid intake. It's really settled down over the last 10 days and I feel the best I have done this whole pregnancy, so I'm hoping that's the end of my digestive issues. Hopefully it will settle down for all of you too.

Thanks for everyone's replies. It seems that to have come back a bit but not as bad so far. Pregnancy really messes with my bowel movements.

Yep...I've had those my past 2 pregnancies. Not so much with this one.

With my 2nd baby, I literally thought I may need to go to the ER, the pain was that bad. But 10 minutes of torture and then, a nice poop.
