I have my gradmas old machine from the 1950's (the kind in the cabinet). I cant get the silly thing to work 
At first it was skipping stitches and now its not stitching at all! I have tried adjusting the tension for upper and lower threads but it doesnt seem to make a difference.
I want to sew an apron and i have everything ready to go, i just need to fix these stitches. I would take it in but its $80 just to look at it OUCh to that price!
Looking online doesnt help as its such an old model and it does have an instruction booklet but its not very clear like the new machines for what to do if XYZ goes wrong.
