Alright, so last night me and my bf had sex.
And we are very open about everything, so after we were done, i asked him if he could feel the difference, since i felt something sort of out of the ordinary. And he said that he could feel something at the end that he kept hitting. Thats how it felt to me too. So i looked it up and it turns out that sometimes your cervix comes down lower when your pregnant. Does anyone else feel this?

sorry hun i havent felt this yet but you're quite a bit further on than me but what you looked up sounds about right to me as ive heard that before...normally when your meant to be due a period your cervix is lower x

I kind of have a personal question that may be comletely out of line, but the other night when my OH and I were having sex it felt different, did it hurt for you? Because this was just awful and It felt like he was hitting something so we had to stop.

yes girls, that would be your cervix. Thats why they say that sex can start labor. the irritation to the cervix can start it dilating. perfectly normal. if he were to stay inside you and be still, likely he would feel your babies moving

hmm didn't hear that but I know sex can start labour for a few different reasons it can release oxytocin which is a hormore that brings on contractions plus seman can help soften the cervix.

irratating the cervix isint what sets off labour... its the chemical in sperm and also a hormone your body releases called oxytocin which sets off contractions... its the same hormone that causes your uterus to go hard when you have an orgasm (like a mini contraction) ... so if your cervix is ready to go and your babys ready to come these mixtures can just be enough to set it off

lool me and my oh are really open too and when i was overdue we had sex and he said it felt soooo odd and he could feel something smooth and a pulse and that freaked him out so bad. The next day i had a strech and sweep and the midwife said i was 1-2 cm and could feel my babys head. MY OH's FACIAL EXPRESSION WAS PRICELESS. He was like right thats it were not doing it again until he's out i must have been poking him in the head hahaha. Was kind of weird though.

yes, the irritation CAN cause dilation which leads to labor. Thats why women whose babies dont drop far enough have a hard time dilating. baby isnt there to rub the cervix. if this wasnt true then a sweep would be absolutely worthless.
The orgasm releases the chemicals, and nipple stimulation causes the uterus to contract.
