Sharp pains w/ cerlage

Hey Ladies . I'm 30 weeks 4 days and lately when I've been up moving around I get these really sharp stabbing pains down there . They are very painful . I have also been having Braxton hicks since 19 weeks . I'm just wondering if the stabbing pain is something that should be really concerning .

Hi hun only just saw your post this evening whilst browsing. When did you have your cerclage done? I had mine in a couple of weeks ago, it'd actually my fourth one and I get the on and off stabbing pains too. My cervix is looking ok so I've been assured that they're probably nothing to fret about.

I've not had any braxton hicks yet, but in my last pregnancy I got them from pretty early on too. They weren't painful just felt tight occasionally. As long as they are not painful and there's no regularity to them you should be fine, but if they worry you and you are getting them a lot you should speak to your doc. Sometimes having a suture causes your uterus to be quite irritable and you might be able to be prescribed something to help with that.

I started feeling BH about 16wks and stabbing pains about 20wks. Pains started getting worse yesterday. Asked my doc today and she did a scan everything looked ok and said unless I'm bleeding or getting long and painful contractions that I shouldn't worry. Of course I'm still worried but I think it's all ok and you and I should just keep an eye out for blood and anything more sinister before we get too worried.

hi i have had contractions/tightenings everyday since about 16 weeks and mine are quite paiful i have also started getting the sharp pains through my cervix which i agree really hurt they are also worryig me but doc wasnt concerned only if i was bl;eeding or loosing anything they haven offered me a scan or anything hope ures have eased xxxxxx
