She always wants more

Hiya,
I need some advice, Hollie is already on the Cow & Gate Hungry baby and is on the recommended allowance of 4 scoops to 4oz, but she always wants more, i try and make her wait at least another hour or so if i can, but then she will only have another oz max to, would it be ok, so give her 5 scoops and 5oz, cos they say on the box, the next up is at 2 months and thats 6 for 6??

Can you do this or not? xOr i just got a very greedy little pickle xx

I was told by my HV that in the first few months it really is a loose guideline. She said to feed on demand, once a LO starts finishing a bottle and not leaving any, then add another oz

Oh really, so it would be fine to put her on a 5/5 then, im gonna ask HV when i go along there next week as want hollie to be weighed but she's just wants that little extra more xxx

I would go by weight not age.
And i was also told to ignore the recommendations on the tin too x

This sounds like max! He's currently draining his 5oz bottles and he's only 4 weeks! The midwife's and now HV told us to demand feed but he was eating almost 4oz every 2 hours and making himself sick. The gp then told us we were over feeding and he was
probably comfort eating due to his reflux and put us on a strict schedule which worked for a week, now it seems he's needing an extra oz every feed every week! He is a big boy though.
We don't really go by the tin, midwife or gp anymore we're just following max. I know he's prone to comfort eat so do watch his intake, but generally feed him when he wants it, he settles so much better now!

go by ur lo not the box if she is taking all the 4oz make up a 5oz bottal when she starts to drane a 5oz make up a 6oz she will only take what she needs my lo has been on 6oz sins 3weeks but only taking between 5-51/2oz hes just started to dran 6oz now so gets a 7oz bottal

aw defo go by weight hun, she will go lot longer with more in her belly !! morgans only 11wk and has a massive 8oz and has been for 2wk now !!! whenn ive look on bk of sma it only says 4-5oz for his age, he downs 5oz b4 burping
i wud make a 6-7oz bottle up for her and see how she goes, or give her more on the night feed and u both wil sleep better
