You say you bought the soya? I'd ask doc for milk on prescription - would save you a fortune! The line with soya formula is that you should try the amino acid based formulas first - like nurtramigen. You can get these on prescription. You can buy them over the counter from chemists but they are very expensive. This is because sometimes babies allergic to milk can also have problems with soya. I don't know about SMA lacto free but if it's milk and soya free I would try that first instead of plain soya- but def ask doctor for a prescription.

Soya isn't really recommended anymore and most drs won't prescribe it because of this. If your LO is lactose intolerant; this is different to an allergy and thus they should be fine on a formula with the lactose only taken out; but if its an allergy they will need either a fully hydrolysed formula (made from milk but completely altered so the body doesn't see it as milk) or one that is synthesised from pure amino acids. I'd see what your doctor advises rather than buying expensive formulas that may not be suitable for him.
