Hi, my son is almost 10 weeks old and always has problems getting his wind up and having a poo.

I have tried Gripe water, Infacol and now Dentinox. I can't seem to get any wind from him very often while using Dentinox and his wee is very smelly! Though he has learned to poo every other day. But he still has a pain for about an hour in the early evening.

I tried changing back to Infacol last week and he seemed to be worse but I dont know if I should have given it longer to settle. I'm considering taking him off everything to see what happens and maybe just giving Gripe Water if it seems like he has trapped wind.

Has anyone else been in this situation and what happened when you stopped?

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you. :hugs:

Hiya it's the dentinox giving him smelly wee! My LO had horrible wee and diarrhoea when on dentinox! So I stopped it!
Gripe water didn't help with colic but was ok for wind but I'm back using infacol as I find that the best for wind. I find my LO burps much better over my shoulder too.
I'm also using Aptimil comfort milk for colic and constipation and dr brown bottles. She's soooo much better with this combination.
Maybe try a different milk if he's constipated - a comfort milk is best. Also what bottles do u use?

Hi thanks for replying. I use TT anti colic bottles and was thinking of trying anti colic plus ones. I have stopped all the medicines and today tried boiling coriander in baby's water and so far so good. His stomach seems settled and he had a poo too. Last night after being up for over an hour with baby unable to settle lying on his back I lay him on his front and he slept for the next 4 hours!

My HV advised me to stop infacol and dentinox. I did and it did wonders!
I just use TT anticolic plus bottles and aptamil comfort milk. It's sorted Jake right out and he's so much happier now.
I have heard infacol and things can make it worse for them.
I do have a bottle of gripe water handy though just incase we have a blip! But he's actually got a lot better at bringing his wind up! God bless anticolic bottles!x
