Should I take the progesterone? (Also posted in TTCAL)

Brief history:

Had an ectopic 7 months ago. The following few cycles I charted I noticed my LP ranged between 3 and 12 days
One cycle I had a 7dpo progesterone level test come back as 3. After months of BFNs, I finally got a bfp last cycle (the first cycle I took Cycolgest 200mg progesterone pessaries). This turned out to be ectopic too

This cycle we were NTNP so I didn't start the progesterone after ov. I just got a new BFP today at 9dpo and am wondering...should I take it? Quick!

Please can you answer my poll to try help me decide what to do?

Personally, after 3 MC's since September, i wouldn't. Didn't do me any favours, just loads of thrush
Havent used it this time round and saw bub again yesterday and all was well

I would personally. 200mg not a super high dose of progesterone, and extra progesterone is not a bad thing - not enough can be.

After 3 losses we found I had a LP deficiency and have been taking progesterone injections and pessaries since my bfp...best of luck!
I'm not a doctor however so its probably best to go and talk to yours.

I took oral progesterone after a mc and everything has been fine. I stopped taking it at 12 weeks and lil guy is perfect so far! I would take it, it doesn't hurt anything........

Thanks for all your advice...Just a quick update for you girls, I decided to wait until I saw the doc yesterday and had bloods. Came back as hcg 50, progesterone 90!!!!!!! (at 11dpo). I find it hilarious that every cycle I have low progesterone and this time it's sky high with no meds!

Dare I hope this ones not ectopic?

More bloods tomorrow.

Hi Ladies

I have had 2 mc this year so my Dr has advised the following:

200mg Cyclogest Pessaries once a day from day 19 - 27 of my cycle. Then to continue with it once I get a positive HPT.

What did you do? Did you Dr prescribe the same treatment? Do you think I should start taking it straight after I ovulate and continue till I test?? I have been reading way too much on the web and have totally confused myself!

My doc said to take it as soon as I am sure I ovd (from temping) and then take it for 14 days then stop. should arrive 1-2 days later. I only took it for one cycle (last cycle) which was the ectopic. I do believe it sorted out the first half of my cycle and my LP this cycle as I am now producing my own progesterone and don't have to take it!
