Shouty adverts

Since last night I have been noticing that the adverts at the bottom of the page when you are looking at a thread are talking to me. Mainly British Gas. I appreciate that this site needs ad revenue, but the ads with sound are a bit irritating. x x x

I have to agree, I am having to browse BnB with out any sound and it scared the life of me when I was reading a thread. I really dont mind normal adverts but these are just plain annoying.

Me too, it just scared the crap out of me, i was reading a thread and this advert came on really loud?

I don't want to have to turn my sound down as i browse other sites at the same time, so how can i stop these annoying loud adverts?

Yep, I have BnB always open and I'm gonna end up on here a fraction of the time with these ads - you can't even keep them muted, they reload every cycle (whilst you stay on the same page) and start shouting at you again. And then again as you move pages.

I can't mute my puter while I browse BnB because I need to hear alerts from other pages and programs I've got running.

The most annoying part is as the are flash adverts you can't adblock them

Thanks BnB for waking up my 5 month old this morning at 5.40am
I had laptop upstairs with me as OH was working, settled LO after a feed, and felt wide awake myself (damn insomina) so came on here.......yup, advert started screaming about random shit i don't really care about!

Ok i should have checked my computer volume was down but didn't expect it to start shouting lol, took me ages to find the damn video too!

I keep getting an ad at the bottom of the screen for 2 days now and it is starting to really annoy me. I keep clicking it off and it keeps coming back constantly. When I look at threads when I post to them when I am done posting, it wont go away. How do I get rid of this?

C'mon BNB. I've been using this forum for well over 2 years now and never had any complaints, even though some of the newer features have been frustrating. I well understand the need for ads here and there.

However, knowing that a lot of us tend to come online when our little ones are sleeping means that loud shouting adverts turning up out of the blue is going to cause more than a little annoyance.
Luckily my son didn't wake completely as I managed to get the volume down, but i'd have been really annoyed if he had, as was only briefly checking in before doing some jobs while I had 5 minutes.
