Ohh you look beautiful! And I love the kilts - I know its traditional in Scotland. I wanted them but SIL had them at hers so I didn't want to copy lol! Grandad will have his on though xx

Got our photos today. Pretty gutted actually, been crying for hours. We got some nice photos but none of the details that I spent over a year so meticulously planning. There's barely anything of the flowers, the candles, the platters, the mismatched glasses and plates and cutlery, the bath tub, the dictionary guest book, the cinema...... Feel shit basically. But here are the ones we have. Anything with the above mentioned in them is an instagram someone else took. Don't even have one or Rory walking down the aisle in his outfit

Oh Emy I'm really sorry she didn't take any pictures of the 'stuff'. Most photographers usually do, and surely she would know that was important to you!! Its such a good job that other people had taken photos aswell. And why she wouldn't get a picture of Rory walking down the aisle is beyond me!! I hope that lots of other people have loads of amazing pictures for you xx

Thanks hun! Yeah we got some gorgeous ones of other people, just a shame she didn't do her job! But the reportage ones of the meal are nice, and the getting ready ones, so I guess that's something!

But she should've known what you wanted!!! I have my photographer a list of "must haves" for pictures. Details I wanted remembered, certain types of poses and she brought that with her to the wedding and ticked all of them off as she took them.

I just thought that was a normal thing.

These photos are gorgeous, and the posed ones are nice- our posed ones look a joke! Plus half the photos she sent are a blurry mess and worse than the instagrams! I desperately wanted to blog the wedding as promo for setting up as style and hire with all the bits I've got, and I got told by one (so far) that they can't use the photos cos of their quality. What I'm most upset about though is that she didn't get the things that wedding photographers are meant to get. No full shot of Chris, none of my parents' reactions to the ceremony, none of my sister who sang during the procession, nor of my bridesmaid and Rory walking down the aisle. None of the little details that I spent so long on... And it was such a gorgeous venue, we could have had some amazing posed photos, but they're just horrid, I feel embarrassed looking at them. I kept trying to email to sort out a specific list of what I wanted and I kept feeling like I was bugging her so I assumed she had a good idea of what I wanted, but clearly not. I asked her on the day to take details though! I know it's a dumb problem but I do feel so let down and disappointed; never gonna get the chance again!

No you don't!!! I'd have been devastated as well!!! How much did you pay for her???

I didn't want to say it before as I didn't want to add to your upset and I hope I don't... but I can see why you'd be upset with them. Its like she didn't adjust her camera for the glow of the candles, so the exposure on them aren't quite right. I'm talking about the first picture, just as an FYI.

I know what she was trying to do, but she didn't do it properly. Honestly? I'd be having a word with her. Not be mean or anything, but I'd want to know why she didn't get the details you wanted... granted if you just said details and you weren't specific then I can understand her maybe not doing what you wanted her to.

However, in clicking the link I can see why you are disappointed... yours are not the same as that links. Would the difference be in that those were outside in daylight? However a skilled photographer would be able to capture the same regardless of light/area.

I don't know The ceremony ones were in daylight and not great either. Plus all the photos were taken from on the ground instead of at face to face height which flatters no one, so of course I'm going through all these photos thinking I look ugly and fat. Chris looks goofy too and he's quite handsome IRL but it doesn't show at all.

I do like that sort of style, it's just that I feel like it wasn't done properly. We paid £280. All we could afford. We weren't even gonna have a photographer originally cos it wasn't a budgetable option with them costing around £2k but I so loved the shoot she did that I went for her.
