Yes, I know I need to take her to her pediatrician but I am waiting for an appointment. She's 5 months old.

She has had goopy eyes - one is more irritated than the other. There is constantly mucus in her eyes. When she wakes up, her lashes are pretty much crusted shut. This has been going on for about 4-5 days

She's had her first diaper rash for over a week. It's only gotten worse. I've tried EMAB bottom balm, coconut oil with lavender, calendula cream, and zinc oxide barrier creams (14%)

Today, she developed bright red rosy cheeks. They look rashy

She's also been congested. She's coughing but I believe from the nasal drip so I give her nose drops and aspirate.

She got up several times last night and isn't eating as ravenously as usual. She does seem to have a tooth coming in on the bottom.
I thought that would explain her rashes but her diaper rash is in the genital region and not on her butt so it's not from "battery acid" poop

I'm a ftm...I feel terrible like I'm not taking care of my baby. I haven't had a chance to even call her pediatrician because I've been working so much. Her daycare is a wonderful, loving, in-home small daycare so I assume if she needed to go to the ER or something, they'd say something. I requested an appointment for tomorrow but I have to wait until tomorrow to know if I can get in.

Has anyone dealt with anything like this? I've been researching online for hours but feel like I haven't found anything

It sounds like she is teething and maybe has a bit of a cold too. Her eye sounds like conjunctivitis so the dr should be able to give her drops for that. Is she feeding less than usual? That could make her urine more concentrated and the ammonia can burn, maybe ask the daycare to change her more often and leave the skin to dry completely after using a wipe before applying cream. If it's really bad the dr will be able to give you a prescription to clear it. It sounds like she does need to see the dr but you are doing the best you can to get her an appt so don't feel bad.

Agree with everything rainbow has said. If she's struggling to breathe at night, try propping her mattress up at the head end with a blanket underneath it. It should help with the congestion.
When our LO has a cold, we give her a nasal spray before each bottle to help her to breathe whilst feeding. At the moment, she's got a tooth coming through as well so we put some teething gel on her gums before she has milk too. Seems to help her.

Thanks ladies. Well, she definitely has a tooth coming in. The gum is clearly split today and I could feel it when she gnawed on my finger.

It turned out that she has a double ear infection (causing the eyes and rosy cheeks) and a yeast infection. :(

I don't know how this happened. She had yeast in her mouth as a newborn due to antibiotics from the csection I had to have from developing an infection. I gave her probiotics to clear that up and have given them ever since so I thought that would keep the candida at bay.

Unfortunately some babies are just prone to thrush, don't worry the cream will clear it up in a couple of days, DS had it really bad in his mouth when he was born and has had it like nappy rash twice, the first time I thought the white stuff was remnants of the barrier cream we were using. Also if she didn't have a temperature and wasn't really upset by the ear infections you weren't to know. The only way we know when DS has an ear infection is when the outside is red and feels warm and he has loads of wax coming out. The dr doesn't even give antibiotics for it unless he's had it five days or its bothering him.
