Hi there,

I'm pregnant for the first time in nearly a decade. I've forgotten what it feels like, although I remember the symptoms. Every bit of my body feels like it's different. My feet are hot. My boobs are huge and none of my bras fit. I'm only five weeks pregnant - are they supposed to be this big already? The morning sickness is quite bad; I just hope that it's going to ease off. I'm not sure if I can take another eight months of this!!

Does anyone have any good cures for breast tenderness? I'll try anything at this stage...

Anyone had one of these? What can I expect? I'm a little bit nervous!!!!!

I never really had much breast tenderness, although I know there are others on here who have, hopefully one of them can give you more help than me!

I did have all day nausea (and all night ) which eased up around the start of second tri, hopefully it will end sooner for you

And your boobies are so big cos you body has 'practiced' before. Boots do a great honey cream for stretch marks, and the act of rubbing it in seems to help my OH with her soreness. I think the best thing you can do though is go out and buy a good supportive maternity bra.

Hiya, welcome!

I'm not in the same boat as you are (not huge, at least not yet) but I do understand about the soreness. At 5-6 weeks I just ached, though thankfully it's tapered off (now just my nipples are sore). Some women get SO sore, it's really unfair. Definitely try to find a very supportive bra, without underwires (not good for pg women from what I understand). It's probably a good idea to wear a bra 24/7 - I have soft, sporty, stretchy ones for nighttime that offer support without strangling me in my sleep and I find that helps.

It might help to try things like cool cloths, or a heating pad on low, lying down whenever you can (gravity seems to make things worse, at least for me) and if it's really bad, it's okay for most women to take acetaminophen (paracetemol, tylenol). Do check with your doc/midwife first just to be safe.

I have a great book called Pregnancy Sucks, and when the author talks about breast soreness she mentions someone who went to the beach, dug holes in the sand, and laid face down with her breasts in the divots to get some relief. Basically, if it doesn't hurt the baby and makes you feel better, do whatever it takes, I guess! :D

hiys and welcome
its my second pregnancy in 14yrs and i'd forgotten too, i asked my mw if its like bein preg for the 1st time again after so many years she said pregnancy will be like a 2nd but labour will be like the 1st grrrr.
my boobs killed straight away then has tapered off just nipple are tender, i havent got alot of sickness just twice but the nausea and tiredness has hit hardits getting worse but maybe it has to get worse before it gets better.
just take it all as a good sign it means your healthy and everything is acting as it should, thats what my mw told me, most people say it eases off in the 2nd tri....
lets hopes so
xxx

My boobs are killing me too, I am only nearly 5 weeks and already they are giving me such hell! They have definately grown too as I am spilling over my bra's now..I have implants too so I think Im going to have humongous boobies soon!!
I must admit, I quite like it though as it tells me things are going as they should be. Not started with sickness yet, but its still early days.

my are starting to grow quite well im 8 weeks tomorrow!!!

Yes! I have Huge boobies..much to my boyfriend's delight...Im approximately 9 weeks and they got big right from about 6 weeks. So sensitive that all my bras are sore too, not had any actual sickness but have been feeling SO nauseaus pretty much all day.
im told it does get better..lets hope so! xx

Mine grew 2 sizes in the first 6 weeks. They havent grown since. Completely normal!

I had a nuchal scan. It wasn't a big deal at all. Just required some blood being drawn and an ultrasound. They basically analyzed the results of the blood work along with the scan. I think mainly in the scan they look for too much fluid in the spine which sometimes can signify downs or other chromosome problems. Good Luck!!

What a great response from everyone who's answered and made me feel better. Myself, my baby, my boyfriend, and my two huge breasts thank you all.....

By the way - I'm a first timer on this forum (or any other, really), and I've been confused by some of the terms that have been used. It was BD that started my confusion - but if you know of any other frequently used abbreviations, I'd be grateful for any clarification!!!

THanks so much.

Mine are huge and annoying me! They're getting bigger by the hour and none of my bras fit anymore. Plus I've been too sick to go out and buy any new ones.
