side of scar red and weepy

I'm 3.5 weeks after section.
One side of the scar is a teeny bit open
It was closed.
Now its rashy and red
I'm going to Dr tomorrow to get it checked
Health nurse saw it today and said just keep it dry
But its hard to do cos I've post preg jelly belly
I've been feeling a bit crappy too
Its most likely a little infection isn't it?
Anyone hve this ?
Did ye get antibiotic?
I'm bf.
And did it slow healing much?

Sorry can't help as I haven't had a caesarean myself (yet). Bumping though, hope you got on ok at the docs?

Dr reckoned not infected but was open
She packed it and put a dressing on
Hve to change it every two days
If it happens anyone else go get checked

I had a C-section a year ago. At about 6 weeks after, one end of it got bulgy and purple-red. Not any more painful than the rest of it though. When I was looking at it (holding the saggy belly skin back, I won't lie), it started oozing blood and a little pus! I cleaned it up, and my dear worried husband bandaged me and used an adhesive bandage to tape me together. Like he was worried I was about to spit in two. I had my 6-week check-up scheduled, so I asked and the doc said this: it was an ingrown hair. When they cut you then sew back up, sometimes pubes end up with no path to the surface and it becomes an ingrown hair. Just like a giant, kinda nasty pimple.

It happened a second time a few weeks later. Fortunately my husband didn't try to hold me together with tape that time.

Mine did open again
But wasn't infected
Only a corner but still needed packing And dressing for 5 days.
Mostly healed Again
But the extra pain was uterine infection.
am on antibiotic for it now
So hopefully be all healed soon

Mine second scar opened up slightly on one side. I got it checked by nurse when they checked my daughter she said just put butterfly strip and bedadine (sp) on it. Now it's healed it looks different to the other side but doesn't bother me
