Me and my OH are moving in to a house together at the end of this week which I am so happy about we are taking the next step together <3

Since graduating (8 months ago) I have been on benefits living as a single parent in a flat, I have informed all the relevant ppl about the changes and know that I wont be entitled to much benefits.

I am just a little scared as to how we are going to manage because the change is drastic, I am going from running my own (little) home and being in charge of my finances, receiving regular money to not receiving anything and living from OH wages. He earns an average wage and I suppose I am worried because I have not lived within this situation before. I would get part time work to help as I know we are going to struggle but at 28 weeks pregnant I doubt any one will hire me.

I'm scared I will feel like a burden to OH not bringing in any money what so ever and he is used to living and paying for a house with one, but now the house/ shopping/ utilities will be for us both, my two children and baby will be here before we know it.

He said not to worry and we will manage which I know we will but I cant help be worried.

Thanks for listening x

don't worry, you will manage. You just live within your means. My dh works and I am a sahm and we manage, we are not struggling month to month and we just make sure not to waste money. Daughter has everything she could want as will son, and to be honest we are just as well off as when both of us were working

The only thing I would suggest is to look at the finances and make a budget to see whether living off your husband's income is possible. That ought to help ease any worries and is best to do before getting into a situation you're unsure about.
