:haha: I feel such a muppet buuuut thought I'd just make sure. Is ordering Chinese food okay, I mean I obviously I know rice is fine what about vegetable spring rolls, egg fried rice curry sauce and the big ask is are prawn crackers okay, I mean they do contain traces of shell fish so what does everyone think. I should add they are my first big craving and I really want a prawn cracker lol

Thanks ladies

Xx

personally i would be more wary of the spring rolls than the prawn crackers. as long as everything is reheated super hot it should be fine. its the luke warm stuff that would concern me. i wouldnt worry about prawn crackers, go for it i say, the trace of prawn, if any, wouldnt worry me.prawns should be ok if cooked fully.
i ordered a prawn dish ina resto the other day and it came with other shellfish in. but reading here i am not going to worry, i didnt get ill. it says that seafood with bacteria wouldnt harm baby just make us ill. and i feel fine.https://www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy/nutrition/foodsafety/seafoodexpert/

just maybe give everything else a zap in the micro?

i have been wondering the same always have a chineese when back in the uk with my best friend and dont want to throw our traddition out lol

i had a chinese the other day. just make sure.its virtually hotter than the sun inside, its when stuff is warm like a pp said it gets a bit dodgy.

i never eat prawns from a takeaway, never have done though.xx

Prawn crackers are fine, I personally wouldn't get a chinese from a takeaway cos you don't know how well its been cooked (and I don't like them ) but Tesco and Iceland etc etc do the tubs you can cook yourself x x x

I eat chinese all the time (including half a bag of prawn crackers the other night) and i never thought about it being bad :s i know all you can eat buffets etc are what you need to avoid, but take aways were my lifeline a few weeks ago when i felt sick+exhausted. Oops

I think as long as you make sure it's really hot, and it's coming from a clean restaurant, it should be fine. Enjoy!

one of my many strange cravings have been chinese and ive eaten SOOO MUCH of it... from chow mains to pancake rolls to fried rich dishes!!
i really wouldnt worry just if there is meat in a dish and it isnt piping hot stick it in the microwave for a bit !!

enjoy! xxx

Eeeek. I'd be a little concerned about re heating rice! Maybe go to the Food standards website and get some info on it. I know rice can give you one of the worst food poisoning......xx

Go for it. just make sure everything is piping hot, and prawn crackers should be fine too, at least I've eaten them as they're my favourite!

As long as you are dealing with a clean restaurant with responsible practices, I wouldn't be worried at all. (And I assume you wouldn't eat at gross places anyway!) :)
