Silly question but how do you wash your bottles?

Hi all

Just wondering how everyone goes about washing their bottles before they sterilise them? I'm very lucky in that my husband has been doing this for me but as he is going back to work just thought I'd find out how everyone else is doing this? When it says wash with warm soapy water and then rinse - does everyone use washing up liquid in a bowl and then rinse after this?

Silly question I know but just wondered how everyone else did it?

Hi hun I use warm water and washing up liquid then rinse then sterilise x

I use a bottle brush, hot water and washing up liquid and then rinse before sterilizing :flower:

I wash them the same as the other dishes, rince with hot water to get off any bubbles and then steralise

I do two wash/steralises a day as I have enough bottles to last the day.

I use hot water to first rinse the bottles, scrub them with a bottle brush and hot water, then steam steralise them.

If the bottles aren't being washed right away I always rinse them anyway.

I rinse them right away after every use. Then before sterilsing I wash them with anti bacterial liquid using a bottle brush, rinse with warm water then into the steriliser.

It's good to immediately empty/rinse after use even if you are not washing them then.

i rinse after use, then i wash them all together in a basin (used only for bottles as i was paranoid about washing them in the same sink as i was raw meat covered chopping boards - probably a big dramatic!) with hot, soapy water and a bottle brush, then straight in the steriliser.

every 3 or 4 days i soak them in milton - again, probably just another 'quirk' of my paranoia!!!!

Wash with hot water and washing up liquid under running water not with anything else

Rinse immediately after use if I'm not going to wash it right then. Wash in hot water with dish soap and a bottle brush. Drip dry. I don't sterilize.

i rinse as soon as they have been used, that at the end of the day i wash them in warm water with antibacterial washing liquid, then rinse in hot water, then sterilize, dry the insides with a bit of paper towel and then premake for the next day!

I have never sterilized. I believe it is unnecessary unless the baby has a lowered immune system for some reason. (IE a preemie might need things sterilized)
