I'm having a real hard time choosing a pram that has everything I want thats in my price range. I want a pram that is parent facing for around the first 6 months and then converts to a pushchair. One in particular I have found is the silver cross 3d. Its beautiful an dhas everything i need, bar the two handles as I would have preferred 1. However I have been reading a lot of reviews and it seems that it is far too small? A lot of parents seem to be saying there baby only lasted in the pram part for around 2 months. This would be a wast of money for me and if it was only going to last that long Id rather get a nice pushchair travel system. However I really really want a parent facing pram as am due in July and hoping for lots of nice summer strolls looking at my LO. Any ideas inparticular those who have used this system before?

I had this one when my son was born. I don't rate it too highly tbh. It felt plastic, the hood kept falling down and there isn't a lot of room in the pram part at all so I really wouldn't expect it to last anyone 6 months. Sorry.

I'm getting the mamas and papas Glide. Had a go instore and it was lovely, it's parent facing for as long as you want and comes with it's own hard bodied carrycot. You can get the whole lot and accessories for £399 on the official website.

I agree the pram part doesnt last long! its also heavy and not easy to push! Also I found the handles wobble a lot when pushing! x

I would disagree with all of the above I have the silver cross 3d and love it, its really easy to push. And with regards to it been to small i disagree i had ollie in the pram until he was 4months and the only reason I put him into the puschair as he was always awake after that and didnt want to be layed flat he wanted to look around but he still fits in the pram part at nearly 6months. I think it is a great travel system at a great price I would highly recommend it to anyone.

i've read good and bad reviews for the silver cross 3d but have deided to go for it anyway, think any prams/travel systems have their disadvantages and advantages xx

wanted to add the mamas and papas pliko prammette is a much better version of this pram if you liked the prammette style

I bought this last year when i had my daughter. I loved it in the beginning but as you said by about 10 weeks old my daughter was too big for the pram part without her head touching the top ( and she was only little). Its also very big and bulky to store/get in and out of cars etc. I had sold it by the time she was 4 months old x

Iv decided to go for the hauk malibu system in the Winnie the pooh version. I tried out the malibu at a local shop however need to get the pooh version online. Fingers crossed I can get it ok, it has everything I wanted, looks cute and the carrycot looks big enough for a good few months usage :)

I had the silver cross linear (the one with one handle) and that was pretty rubbish too. The chasisis when back to silver twice because it kept getting bent, and they suggested my daughter was too heavy for it. (she was 4 months old!!!!) I would never get a silver cross pram again!

I had the mamas and papas switch which is same style as 3s but seat unit faces either way. I had no problems with it and used it for 2 years just recently sold it to by my 2yr old a lightweigh. I'm going for mamas and papas again. I'm getting the rubix for my baby due July. As I rate mamas and papas highly I brought all my prams from them.

Thanks, this is what I ave got and have so much negative stuff about it. But thats what I have now so glad to hear a good review! x

I nearly bought one recently off ebay but googled it and found some absolutely slating reviews -When I was pregnant I saw one in a charity shop with all accessories in mint condition (sold before I got it was gutted at the time) and did wonder why such a new pram would end up in a chazza... after reading the reviews I am not surprised..

I have/had the silver cross freeway and it's great. Bulky but solid and did right up to my 2 YO

When I was pregnant I bought the 3D, then I read numerous reviews and decided I didn't want it as most of the reviews were rubbish. So I bought the Linear Freeway, and apart from being bulky it was a good pram. It did break however and we were told it was their fault, but after I got it repaired I decided to sell it and buy a new one. xx

I agree with the pliko pramette being better than the silver cross, but i don't like either when they are set up in pushchair mode to be honest.

the mamas and papas sola ticked far more boxes for us x

i love mine cant wait to use it in baby mode using it for my little girl at the moment xx

I would disagree also. I bought one for my DD ad am still using it 15months later. To be honest, she wasnt in the baby pram very long but the pushchair has been brilliant. No complaints what so ever!
