Hi ladies,

Anyone looking at or have the silvercross surf pram?

I had the mamas and papas pilko pramette with my first daughter and absolutely hated it! Regardless
Of at the time it being voted pram of the year THREE years running! It was awfully heavy, hard to steer and just so unpratical!! I never used it much, and ended up keeping it with my second daughter aswell as i dont walk very many places but i refuse this time!! I want to walk more places and atleast be able
To do the supermarket trip without feeling like im going to abandon the pram! Lol!

Iv also looked at quinny buzz and icandy peach but thats so pricey!!

I think we're going to go with the silvercross surf 2 travel system we loved it when we went looking at all the different types, then the other day I saw a lady using it and getting it in and out of her car, she made it look really easy so I think we've made our minds up on that just going to wait until closer to the time to order it :)

I was looking at the Silvercross Surf, but decided on the Pioneer. DH & I had a play with them each in the store & decided that the Pioneer handled better & it has a lot more storage than the Surf. I think the handle might have gone higher for DH too, but I could be wrong on that. They're both great prams/pushchairs though :D

I have just bought the silver cross surf for this time around. I went through so many prams with my DD, and they was all awful. I bought the surf second hand and have used it with my DD a few times and it handles great. Better than any other pram I've had. The suspension is great, takes curbs really well, and just seems sturdy. Only downside I would say is storage. The basket is really small which is a downside. I will be using the car seat with it at first, but I also have the carrycot which I think will be nice. I hope you find the perfect pram for your needs :) xx

We looked at the surf but there were a few things that put me off. 1. The basket is pretty much non-existent. 2. The fold down on it we found really fussy - I want something that is quick and easy to fold down and put in the car, but I really didn't like how it is done in the surf 2.

I did however think it was a nice to push pram. If you like iCandy, take a look at the strawberry. We've gone for the strawberry and we love it. So easy to push, fold down and cheaper than the peach :)

Quinny buzz is nice, but it is very big and we would've had to have taken both wheels off it to get it in our boot as it is so wide!

I was looking at the Surf 2 but I've switched to Pioneer now, main reason is the surf has no basket at the bottom to put our dog in :haha: he's a little Yorkshire terrier and will be 11 when baby comes along so he can lay down in there and enjoy the sights, plus I need somewhere to put shopping etc. Also I'm quite tall and the pioneer just seemed to suit me more, it seemed taller/chunkier.

I had the surf with DD and overall loved it. The storage is a bit rubbish, but I never found it too much of an issue, just hung my changing bag from the handles. It is very easy to put up and down, and handles great x

Oh my gosh I have to see a pic of this when it happens! Sounds absolutely adorable!

Just a warning with the ladies who are getting the pioneer, they are heavy!!! I struggle to get mine up kerbs, I've had it for 4 months and I'm selling I and getting something lighter. They are really great otherwise but I dread taking mine out because it's just such hard work to get up kerbs and on and off busses and stuff. I honestly think it's hindering my recovery from my csection because I have to put all my weight on it and push through my stomach when using it. I thought that was normal for prams until I properly tried out other ones.
