We have been using the pre-made Similac Sensitive since switching to it, but now that my son is about 80% on formula vs breastmilk, I bought some of the powder because the pre-made gets expensive. Anyway, first it seems much more watery than the pre-made. Second it's super foamy and I'm wondering if my LO is getting too much gas from it. Has anyone noticed it? Also is the pre-made more filling since it seems thicker?

Thanks!

Yes, I have found it to be super foamy and it gave my LO a lot of gas. The ready to feed one doesn't seem to be foamy, I do know that the ready to feed ones go more easily on their tummies.

From the ones I've used the least foamy for me was Similac Alimentum, followed by regular Similac (light blue) and the foamiest was the Similac Sensitive, which I couldn't understand.

I made a post like this when we first switched my son to the sensitive formula. The best solution that we found was to swirl, or stir with a fork, instead of shake.

I made my son 1 bottle of the sensitive powder because we had a sample container. It was really foamy and when I read the label and saw the number one ingredient was corn syrup, I didn't want to give him any more. He was constipated for 2 days after having it (usually poops 1-2 times per day).
