I have a friend who became a single dad recently. His wife died. He has two little girls. One 3 and one 1. He is having a tough time and I though about recommending this forum to him. I know though that a lot of single parents groups are kind of a girl's club. I have also read some threads on here and a lot of you are (understandable) very angry at men. (I swear I'm not trying to be offensive. I can totally understand why you would feel the way you ladies do. If something like what some of you have been through happened to me I would be furious too.)

I'm just wondering if he would be accepted and welcome here and if I should recommend BnB to him.

I hope I didn't make anyone mad. I just am really worried about him. He is so fragile. His wife died 6 months ago and he is dealing with that but he is also scared of being a single dad and is in need of advice. Advice I can't give him.

Of course he is welcome though he might find some of us a bit on the touchy side but if he introduces himself and his situation then he should be just fine! Plus there's lots of other forums that he can read and post on and he'll get some support and interaction from them - tell him to join the club and if he doesn't want to read some of the threads then just ignore them. We can all get a bit emotional and sometimes it is every man on the planet that gets it but it's mainly the ones that have jerked us around that get our wrath!! Tell him to just have a browse and he can post whenever he's ready or decide it's not for him. It's a tough time being on your own whether through choice or tradgedy and I hope we would all be sensitive enough to treat him with kindness and respect!

Yep send him this way:) I'm sure everyone will be very welcoming:)
I lost my mum when i was four and my dad raised me and my brother, so i can sort of understand x

of course! he would benefit from the toddlers section aswell! He just needs to bypass our hate men days! hahah! But would be good to hear a mans point of view sometimes... x

Agree with the other girlies...he is more than welcome.

We do have our man hating moments but that with the silly men that we seem to have found. His situation is completely different....and like purpledahlia said...he can maybe give us a male perspective on things.

Send him our way :) and how nice of you to check with us first, what a nice friend!! :flower: xxx

Hed be very welcome! :flower:

Like the others said, he'd just have to put up with us all ranting heehee, then again he can probs give us a different view point! :D

Agree with the other ladies ...he would be very welcome :) And of course we arnt gonna get mad for suggesting it :flower:

Its a single parents forum ....not just for the ladies:) And there's also other sections like toddlers section and i think theres a whole section for men?(not sure) that he could join as well. He would benefit greatly from BnB! I've found it amazing since I've joined!

I know we rant and rave a lot here  but we're not that scary :haha: Just have our off days lol xx
