Hi all!

My husband and I split up two days ago and I have moved into my mums house with my two young boys!
There was no real reason as to why we spilt up, we had been going over and over splitting up for a long time, we had grown apart over the years!

So now I'm worrying about what happens next, I need to sort out my finances and somewhere to live permenantly! I need to sort out my bank because its a joint account! He still thinks we are on a break but I'm swaying towards a perment thing, I know it will break his heart but I was so unhappy and I know he was as well!

If anyone has any advice on what to do next or who to speak to that would be great!

Thank you x

Just take each day at a time. Don't expect miracles and answers as these things take time. You have a lot to adjust to, so you will have good days and bad days. Its the best thing to do, from what you have said if you are not happy. Time will help you think clearer and time also helps if you realise that it is not permanent. I wouldnt keep saying to him its permanent as he will realise this eventually and he needs time himself to get over it. You also need time by yourself. Make sure you get all the day to day stuff organised first and ask family/ friends for help. Divorce / separation is never easy but in the long run if it what is best for you and your kids that will just become more and more apparent. I think if both parents can remain amicable and think of the kids, then the transition isn't too hard for them.

I'm sorry things didn't work.

You should look into COunselling to learn to co-parent and speak to a lawyer ( divorce is messy )
